Distilled on the island of Martinique from fresh sugar cane juice, aged in new French oak vats for 18 months. Vanilla, sandalwood and lemon balm aromas, with a nice dose of grassy agricole funk. Creamy mouthfeel, oak flavors emerging with wet forest floor and dried stone fruits. Fantastic long finish. Almost Armagnac-like. One of our all-time favorite aged Agricoles. 50% abv.

This single cask release from Neisson was distilled in 2014 and put in used cognac barrels. In December 2017, the contents of several of these barrels was transferred to used American Bourbon barrels. One of these barrels was selected for this Special Bottling for Ed Hamilton. Bottled at 51% abv, the aroma shows bright citrus, stone fruit, and cedar wood. The palate reveals the complexity of aged rhum Agricole with sweet hints of fruit, coconut and nutmeg.
