This exhibition focused on a number of exceptional printmakers in eighteenth century France who succeeded in expressing the unique esprit of that period. To be understood and appreciated, the works they created have to be considered within the historical context which began with the death of Louis XIV in 1715. Included are works by Bonnet, Debucourt, Duclos, Fragonard, Moreau, and Scotin (after Watteau).
